The pink glove dance is becoming a popular YouTube video. The video features over 200 staff members of St Vincent’s Medical Centre in Portland, Oregon. All the staff wear pink latex gloves and dance to Sean John’s song “Down”. The video, which has been up since November 13 and has since been viewed over four million times.
The pink gloves featured in the video are a product of Medline Industries in Illinois. A portion of the sales of the pink gloves will provide mammograms for uninsured women. The Pink Glove Dance was also featured on Fox News on December 8.

Pre-WordPress: 26 Counties, 20 Cars, 3 Days – 1 Great Cause

Between the 14th and 16th of August, twenty cars will drive through the twenty-six counties of the Republic of Ireland in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin is Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital and provides services such as a national centre for cardiac surgery and haematology/oncology, major burns, medical genetics and medical research for childhood illnesses. This hospital is completely devoted to the care and treatment of children. Fundraising allows this hospital to do more for children and to advance its research into childhood illnesses. Extra finances also allow the extension of care units, new facilities and more equipment. With additional finance and support, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital can achieve, research and make every patient’s life easier.

Organising the event is car-enthusiast website Midnightclub.ie and so far they have over five thousand euro raised. A few cars from the Munster area will be making the memorable trip around Ireland.

The cars will be driving through the Muster areas on Friday the 14th of August from Limerick and continuing their journey to Dublin. On the 15th of August, the drivers will be travelling from Dublin as far as Roscommon and the 16th of August, drivers will make the journey up to Donegal and back to Limerick.
